Other
Other possible renewable energy technologies include wind turbines. Wind turbines produce energy when the wind strikes the blade creating positive pressure on the front and negative pressure behind it. This pressure pushes against the front edge to create a suction effect behind the blade turning the rotor and creating energy. A single 1-MW wind turbine can displace 2,000 tonnes of CO2 in one year (equivalent to one square mile of forest). Wind energy systems also require minimal maintenance with low operating expenses. Solenza also offers wind turbine installations as part of a complete renewable energy installation.
