Solar Energy Research Group
The Solar Engineering Research Group (SERG) at the University of Waikato is a leading solar energy research facility, whose research led to the formation of Solenza. The prominent members of the group include Dr Mike Duke, Associate Professor Rainer Kunnemeyer, Associate Professor Earl Bardsley, Dr James Carson and Tim Anderson.
Prior to joining the Department of Engineering, Dr Mike Duke was the New Product Development Manager at SolarCentury, the UK’s leading solar company and Technical Director of solar development company Solion Ltd. He has specialist knowledge in new and sustainable product development and photovoltaic (PV) systems.
Mr Anderson has several years experience in researching, developing, installing and monitoring solar hot water and PV systems.
