Overview
Solenza’s solar energy transfer systems are “building integrated”. This means no more unsightly panels bolted to existing roofing structures.
Solenza works in partnership with the Solar Engineering Research Group to develop distinctive solar photovoltaics.
Photovoltaic (PV) technology relates to the use of solar cells that convert solar energy directly into electricity. Typically, solar cells operate by using sunlight falling on a semi-conductor to produce an electric current.
PV systems are primarily made of silicon and when combined with other materials exhibit unique electrical properties in the presence of sunlight. As light hits the material, electrons become excited and move through the silicon. This is known as the Photovoltaic(PV) effect and results in direct current electricity.
Through patented processes, Solenza is able to integrate PV cells into long run roofing iron, providing a more efficient and cost effective solution for commercial, industrial or household use.
Solenza offers three products to satisfy customer’s individualised renewable energy solutions.
- Building Integrated Photovoltaic Thermal (BIPVT) ...
An electricity and hot water solution. - Building Integrated Thermal (BIT) ...
